Pray With POWER for the war in Iraq

Our world is in great need of our prayers. This particular page is particularly aimed at what is taking place in Iraq and what we as praying Children of God can do to make a major difference. Many of you have read my Simple Truth stories and how to pray with power. I am not a man of many words but I do know God and I do know how to pray. I just get caught up in the world at times like everyone else.

Time to get really serious.

For those of you who know how to pray I place the prayer samples here at the top as well as down below. I believe it is important to have many people praying with "one mind". A single prayer and when in group even better. You may pray each of these several times a day, but please only one at each sitting. Start over for the next prayer and do not tie them all together. The more people who will use these words in a single prayer the better. If you will, please read this entire page for better understanding and ideas.

Prayer 1: Safety for the innocent men women and children in Iraq.

Father please protect the innocent men, women, and children in Iraq. Let them experience continued safety, peace, and health.

Prayer 2: Pray for wise counsel and a heart for peace amoung all leaders.

Father I ask that You touch the hearts and minds of all those in charge of any military action in Iraq and help them to make wise and safe decisions that will bring about the best and safest longterm outcome for all people involved, and in the least amount of time.

There are fourteen listed steps in my "Simple" Site, but eight (8) major steps to praying with power. These are listed in the Simple Website but since we need focus I will edit them to fit this situation so you need not read other pages to get started. All steps are important but not considered by me to be the "major steps".

1 You Must be COMPLETELY HONEST with God to pray with power.

For our current needs, just do not promise things you cannot do. Open your heart and mind to God.

2 Know what it is you seek or, what do you want?

With war there are many things we want. Our children,husband,wife,father,mother,to be safe. Peace in Iraq, in the world, on the battlefield. Food for the starving, medical help for the sick and injured, strength for the doctors, military personell, and families at home. These are just a few of thousands. For this very reason it is so very important for us to strictly follow the steps of prayer if we are to be heard clearly. We must overcome the background noise of thoughts and scattered wishes and prayers to deliver a clear and understood message! Words should be positive in approach without any negative reference.

IE: WRONG Stop the PAIN and SUFFERING
IE: RIGHT Allow all in need to experience comfort and perfect health.

FOCUS "PRIME" Right now, one (1) Prayer, one (1) Request, one (1) Item, and if possible for at least one (1) Minute, and one (1) Expectation.

Like : Father please protect the innocent men, women, and children in Iraq. Let them experience continued safety, peace, and good health.

 

3 Silence your mind from confusion

Powerful Prayer requires focus. The more of your focus and attention you give the greater the results will be. Clear your mind of all the other activity and clutter that normally fill your thoughts. Enter into your closet so to speak. Wherever that place is where you can remain undisturbed for the time required for you to pray. Depending on your prayer, and your ability to silence your mind, this may be as short as 30 seconds, and could well be in the middle of a busy crowd.

IMPORTANT: Remove ALL judgement if possible. Information from the TV is overwhelming. But as experience has proven information is not always correct. Powerful prayer which seeks the best possible outcome comes from a position of inner peace and calm. Your judgement clouds your words and sends an unsure message.

4 Find the presence, or feeling, or sense, where you know you have got God's attention.

Most of us have noticed that we can actually feel a difference between our normal thoughts and the thoughts that are present when we have our most meaningful prayer-times. Before we begin our Prayer, we should attempt to make a meaningful connection with this feeling. Just desiring that God hear your prayer for a couple of moments can be enough to achieve what I refer to as "The Presence". Even if you feel nothing that is OK, the desire to pay complete attention to God as you make your Prayers known will make a difference.

Do this when you have the ability to do so. In MOST CASES however, you may only be able to focus on the prayer request with then inner intent that God will hear you. When you get home you may be able to do the rest mentioned above.

 

5 Conceive a way to see your request in perfection, or either block it from your "vision" completely.

In your mind, you always see things, or think things, and these many times show themselves as pictures. What we desire to do here is make sure that if you are seeing your thoughts, or anything in your mind, that it is supportive of your request, in spite of what may actually be happening at the moment.

You do not want to see Grandma in her sickbed with tubes in hers arms while you are asking for her health to be restored. Your silent thoughts are prayers too. Teach them to pray with you and to be of "one mind".

If you cannot imagine Grandma when she was healthy and in good cheer, then envision her as a spiritual being of light without exact form, or just imagine you are seeing a post card or something with her name on it. Any vision or thought or feeling that does not take away from what you desire is acceptable.

If you are in group all should invision the same image and the same words. SIMPLE!

6 Focus on the main item of concern

Now, with Granny, we want her to be of good health. Sure we would also like for her to be happy, able to afford a better house, have a new car, and maybe a dozen other things as well. But for now, we need to be well focused on her health only. We also have a habit at times of being far to thrifty with our prayer time. By this I mean, that " Oh well, while I am here, I might as well add Uncle Harry and Aunt Susan to my list". DON'T!!

REMEMBER ! FOCUS "PRIME" Right now, one (1) Prayer, one (1) Request, one (1) Item, and if possible for at least one (1) Minute, and one (1) Expectation.

7 Give THANKS

Thank you Father for You have heard my prayer.

Then invision people walking calmly about their day with clear bubbles arround them. Where many are together a dome of protection over them, over their home, the playground, whatever. Know and believe this is a bubble of protection and all inside it is safe and at peace. An individual can be in a calm peaceful park and be experiencing caos inside. Just so a person can be in the midsts of war and experience peace within. Bubbles of protection are good for many other situations as well. Planes fly in bubbles. Tanks travel in bubbles. Universal bubbles are flexible and free.

Colors: Many people sense various feelings when surrounded by particular colors. Soft green ( Nature ) sky blue for water, and others help a person to feel calm or at peace. Using colors in your mind may help you to create visions which will assist in what you desire.

IE: A wave of blue light moving over an area bringing with it a sense of calm. or Imagine you are sitting in a quite place with a body of still water, or a park, until you feel the peace you may have experienced there in the past.

Picture our leaders with Angels standing with them and giving instruction. Angels in Iraq visiting various leaders and individuals speaking to them there. The light of the Holy Spirit moving like a cloud effecting all whom it touches.

There are many ways, whatever works for you.
