TAV: Americans Helping Americans

The American Christian Children's Foundation honors Lew Petzold for fifteen years service to the community. You can now call Lew Petzold one of the "most caring' people in America. He has been called just about everything else: a hero, humanitarian, outstanding senior citizen, and model volunteer director.

On November 21, 1997 in Washington D.C., the 74-year-old Founder of the Human Crisis Center stepped up to the podium to accept his sixth major award of the year. The Caring Institute honored Petzold as one of its ten 'Most Caring People in America' for his work providing thousands. of Central Florida residents with donated food and medical equipment. In 1996 the Human Crisis Center gave three million pounds of food to thousands in crisis.

The Caring Institute award puts Petzold in the big league. For ten years the institute has been honoring such national luminaries as Norman Vincent Peal, Jimmy and Rosalind Carter and Mother Teresa. Help feed the children! Support the American Christian Children's Foundation.
