We are an all volunteer ministry. We visit stores, farms and markets who donate food. Whatever we have donated, we distribute free of charge. But we are limited to whatever is donated, type, and quantity of food will vary each day
With your food card, you are eligible to participate in the co-op food program as often as you like.

Your order may consist of meat, milk, staples, canned food, cereal, juices, snacks, bread, pastries, rice and/or beans or noodles, fresh vegetables and fruit. An approximate value of $70.00. Items and amounts may vary.

What does Human Crisis Council do with Your Love Offerings Entrusted to Them?
In serving the needy of Central Florida, the Human Crisis Council (HCC) stands out as an example for other human services agencies, by supplying:
Outreach
HCC is always seeking opportunities to share and explain their highly successful programs with those interested in developing their own community and/or religious service organization. There are presently 44 organizations and ministries on our donor supply program. HCC provides concrete examples, which demonstrate the long-lasting results that can be expected in their client's lives.
TheHCCStaff
The staff is comprised of retired people, unemployed, senior citizens, handicapped individuals, housewives, adult and juvenile work alternative programs, all of which have a concern for the less fortunate in our community 75% of these volunteers are clients or former clients, receiving assistance one day and accepting the responsibility of society the next.
HCC volunteers visit bakeries collecting day old bread, they go to stores, farms, markets, getting slightly outdated products that are still wholesome and good but would otherwise be discarded. Dairies donate unsold milk. Schools and churches donate staples and canned goods. Volunteers are on the phone daily, vying for truckloads of food locally and from all across the nation.
Last year, HCC distributed three million (3,000,000) pounds of food to individuals, churches, soup kitchens, shelters and various other agencies all across Central Florida. HCC is the ONLY agency, thanks to YOU our faithful supporters, that has the coolers, freezers and warehouse space and equipment to handle tractor trailer loads of perishable and frozen food.
